Michael Long

Reverend Dr Michael Long joined the Board of Trustees at Action for Children in July 2020.

Mike is the Minister of Notting Hill Methodist Church in West London. He has served in a variety of church appointments in London, Surrey and North Wales for over 30 years.

He is also a member of the Methodist Church’s Joint Advisory Committee on the Ethics of Investment and a Trustee of the Kensington & Chelsea Citizens Advice and the interim Chair of Kensington & Chelsea foodbank.

Mike chaired Shelter’s commission on Social Housing, which published its report in 2019.

His research interests include theological reflection on a range of social and political issues. These include housing, money, and the church’s ministry in traumatised and marginalised communities.
