Fostering changes lives. And for many foster carers, it is the most rewarding thing they’ll ever do

We know fostering is a big decision and understand that everyone’s situation is different. We’re here if you want to chat, ask questions or learn more.

If you're not sure about fostering yet, why not sign up to our fostering newsletter? We share stories and tips every two months.

Action for Children is a proud member of The Fairer Fostering Partnership, a group of charitable and not-for-profit fostering agencies who work purely for children.

Can I foster?

The answer is probably "yes". Our foster carers come from all walks of life. You only need to have a spare room and be older than 21 (25 in Scotland and Wales).
