This October, we're challenging you to raise money by giving up your bed for one night. Get together with your colleagues and join us

Boycott your Bed: Live is an opportunity for corporate teams to come together – with both colleagues and peers – and fundraise for vulnerable children.

On Friday 6 October 2023, corporate teams – in London, Leeds, Cardiff, Glasgow and Belfast– will be involved in a unique experience of bonding. Join them, get together with your colleagues and spend an unforgettable night sleeping out under the stars.

For over 25 years, our supporters have raised an incredible £13.5 million by giving up their bed for a night. It’s that simple – just one night without your bed to help the children who face every night without a safe place to sleep.

Boycott your Bed Live is an opportunity for corporate teams to come together – with both colleagues and peers – and fundraise in the lead up to the national event. On the night, you'll be involved in a unique experience of bonding with your team. Starting in an indoor reception and ending by spending the night sleeping outside with only a sleeping mat and bag to protect you from the elements.

So wherever you are in the UK, take on the challenge of sleeping out and help more children to have a safe and happy childhood.

While there's no minimum fundraising amount, we suggest all participants aim to raise at least £500.

We’ve created step-by-step guides to help you set up your JustGiving page:

As this is a corporate networking event, it's encouraged you bring along a team of colleagues. However, we welcome anyone to take part in Boycott your Bed Live 2023.

We advise that all bring participants bring:

  • A sleeping bag
  • A small pillow and something to sleep on i.e. a sleeping mat (optional)
  • Torch
  • Bottle for drinking water

We'll provide tarpaulins and foil blankets for the safety of all participants.

Due to the nature of this event, it's for over-18s only.

Unfortunately this is a live event.

Toilets with handwashing facilities (either running water or antibacterial hand gel) will be accessible at each event.

Yes. A hot meal will be provided during the indoor reception.

A snack station with a variety of food options will be available to purchase in return for a donation or a pizza auction, depending on location. Breakfast will be provided on Saturday morning before sleepers head home.

A bar will be available during the indoor reception with soft drinks, wine, beer and cider. No spirits will be available. We encourage participants to bear in mind the nature of the event and the prolonged outdoor exposure and drink sensibly. Drinkaware have more information on the effects of drinking alcohol and cold weather.

We ask that a team attends the same event – but, by all means, within your company you can create multiple teams to sleep out at different regions.

There'll also be some interactive moments on the night bringing everyone together!

Dependent on the nature of the disability, some people might find participating in the event uncomfortable. However, the Events Team will do everything they can to make the event fully inclusive and accessible.

If the team are made aware of specific accessibility issues in advance, they can work with you to ensure that necessary measures are in place, and help decide whether the event is a good fit for you/the person.
