Donate through your salary

And help us reach more vulnerable children across the UK

By giving straight from your salary, you can support our work with children around the UK - and pay less

Payroll Giving is a simple and cost-effective way to make a regular donation to Action for Children straight from your salary.

How payroll giving works

Setting up Payroll Giving is easy.

  1. All you need to do is complete this form.
  2. Afterwards, every time you're paid your payroll department will deduct the agreed amount from your salary – you don’t need to do anything else.

The benefits of payroll giving

When you donate through your salary, your donation is deducted from your gross pay before tax. This makes Payroll Giving one of the most tax-effective ways of giving to charity.

So, if you agree to give £5, as a basic rate tax payer you’ll only pay £4 – the taxman makes up the remaining £1. If you are a higher rate tax payer, you’ll pay £3 and the taxman will make up the remaining £2.

How your donation could help

Your donation could help us deliver vital support for vulnerable children, young people, and families across the UK.

  • £5 a month could give a child seven healthy breakfasts.
  • £10 a month could provide 30 minutes of intensive support to a family where children are at risk of neglect.
  • £15 a month could provide 30 minutes of one-to-one counselling for a child or young person affected by domestic abuse.

Living here at Action for Children has definitely changed me. It has made me grow as a person. I used to feel alone. Now I feel included. I feel safe.
